Growing up in the Western U.S., I witnessed how wildfires act as both destructive and regenerative forces, shaping the environment and leaving behind powerful visual and emotional imprints. My work explores this duality, using the unpredictable results of firing organic materials in glass to reflect the tension between destruction and creation. Striking visual effects such as carbon "ghosts," bubbles, and fumed tints emerge during the firing process, capturing ephemeral moments of transformation.
