Madacsi has worked as an artist/blacksmith for 25 years. She began apprenticing with a small shop in Texas forging architectural work. The experience inspired her to create her own studio on the East Coast where she was introduced to the fine craft show circuit. Now living in her home state of Idaho Madacsi’s studio practice has evolved further into glass.

This interest of glass goes back to a 2004 invitational residency at Penland School of Crafts, where she was taught dry plaster casting. Madacsi experimented by casting her forged work into up-cycled window glass. This introduction to glass sparked a pursuit of knowledge and experimentation that were relevant to her curiosity and artistic growth.

She owns and manages Madacsi Studios, LLC and SideCar Art and Design, LLC in Garden City, Idaho, a workshop and creative space, which is part of a community operating on the Live, Work, Create concept.
